13. Finishing touches
Finishing touches was such a wonderful feeling after all this work. Mum set-to painting the ceiling in the bedroom area dark blue and then we stencilled gold stars in two different sizes (I just made the stencils with some plastic) so that you can sleep under the stars.
Other finishing touches were to fit all the window furniture, I have opted for a “monkey tail” style which I think is in keeping with the look i’m after. It’s very straightforward to fit and really finishes off the windows.
I also hung a piece of artwork by a wonderful friend Nicola Durrent who is a Cotswolds mix media artist, i’m very proud to have one of her pieces hanging in Rosie.

Sleeping under starry skies
This was another little detail that i envisioned when i first stepped foot in the wagon at the beginning of this project, so it felt pretty wonderful seeing it come to life.
Finishing touches
Hanging art is such a lovely way of really bringing together a space and i think adds a little more personality.
